Aug 12, 2014

IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries® announces that Teresa Rowe has joined the IPC staff as director of assembly and standards technology. Rowe will direct and manage the development of standards for electronics assembly materials and processes. Her additional responsibilities include supporting committee chairmen, developing working drafts, balloting standards, addressing comment resolution and overseeing the publication of electronics assembly documents.

Rowe has more than 25 years of experience in quality assurance, engineering and management positions in the manufacturing, maintenance, repair, overhaul and servicing disciplines. She most recently served as director of quality, logistics and technical services at AAI (Textron Systems subsidiary), an aerospace and defense development and manufacturing firm.

No stranger to IPC standards development activities, Rowe has participated on 25 IPC committees and served as chair of the 5-22 Soldering Subcommittee, co-chair of the 5-22a J-STD-001 Task Group, chair of 5-22bt J-STD-001 Technical Training Committee and chair of the 7-34t IPC-7711/7721 Technical Training Committee. She is a Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) for IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 and IPC 7711/7721.

Teresa’s vast IPC experience, combined with skills in quality management, strategy development, customer interface and policy development and execution will allow her to help strengthen and grow IPC’s assembly standards activities,” said David Bergman, IPC interim vice president of standards and technology.

Rowe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
