Circuits West of Longmont, Colorado, has invested in an Excalibur Automatic Optical Test (AOT) system from Lloyd Doyle. Circuits West specializes in the production of high-tech prototype PCBs; the high scan speeds and fast setup times of the Excalibur system make it a good choice for this sector of the bare-board PCB manufacturing industry, according to Lloyd Doyle.
"The reliability of the Lloyd Doyle systems provides the perfect solution for certifying bare boards in this type of environment," commented Lloyd Doyle's US sales manager Rob Robillard. "The low false-alarm rate helps satisfy the customers' needs more cost-effectively."
The unique concept of AOT from Lloyd Doyle combines the advantages of traditional AOI with the logic of Electrical Test. The systems are able to inspect any circuit design without compromise, leading to higher yields during the production process, says the company.
