The Senate and General Assembly of New Jersey has issued a joint legislative resolution honoring Glenbrook Technologies, Inc. for the company's application of its patented MXRA X-ray camera technology to countering the potential mail threat posed by anthrax and similar products.
The technology is uniquely capable of producing real-time X-ray images of powders and granules, even in small amounts, that may be contained in letters and packages. Conventional X-ray systems used for luggage and cargo screening do not have the resolution or sensitivity required to capture images of these fine substances.
The X-ray camera can be built into a compact desktop system for manual or conveyorized inspection of mail in post offices, corporate mailrooms and other locations. For these reasons, the resolution recognizes Glenbrook for contributing to the defense of our State and our nation against present and future forms of bioterrorism, especially in the aftermath of the anthrax mail threats that followed the September 11, 2001 attacks.
