DEK Adds Stencil Design and Manufacturing Capability to Memphis Hub

(January 30, 2003) Memphis -- DEK has added stencil design and manufacturing capabilities to its new logistics hub here to enhance support for North American customers of its Process Support Products Division.

The Memphis site, which is located next to the main FedEx center serving the continental US and offers next-day delivery on orders received up to 6 p.m., also distributes consumables, machine performance upgrades, dedicated tooling and machine spares to all customers in North America.

The Memphis hub is equipped for stencil design and production, including CAD facilities, 1,064 nm laser cutting machines and electropolishing.

At the same time as adding this extra capability to its Memphis hub, DEK's stencil manufacturing presence in the U.S. is boosted by local stencil sales offices located throughout the Southwest and South Central U.S., having acquired stencil specialist Acumen Technology in 2002. DEK manufactures stencils at a total of 15 networked sites worldwide, and expects to grow its share of the U.S. precision stencils market by delivering a new customer experience in terms of brand-leading products.
