Europlacer, a manufacturer of market-leading flexible SMT placement machines, is pleased to announce its new Europlacer Americas’ facility. The new facility is located at 519 US Highway 301 South, Tampa, FL 33619.
John Perrotta, President of Europlacer Americas’, commented, “The new facility provides more office space, along with more lab space for ‘live’ modelling an EP high-mix assembly work-center. Our lab will support our ongoing process development, DOE (White Papers), and, support for standards involvement within our industry. Moving forward, we want to give back to the industry, particularly in the areas that define and support aerospace/defense, and medical electronics assembly practices. This new facility better enables us to professionally offer in-house demos for prospective customers, along with expanding the training facilities for the many trainees we support regularly.”
The new Europlacer Americas’ facility is nearly double the size of the previous building and features a walk-in product demonstration/training center, including: off-line program/package creation, automated component storage/material traceability, electrical test verification, item-level traceability, multifunctional capability; including VLB, odd-form and SMT connectors. The demonstration lab is equipped with IINEO-II, LZERO3, EP710, off-line work-center and conference room.

Europlacer became a division of Parable Trust Ltd. in 2013. Europlacer has been developing machines for SMT electronics assembly since the 1970s and invented the intelligent feeder concept in the 1980s. After acquisition by Blakell Europlacer in 1991, the company moved away from split-axis to the inherently more capable X-Y architecture that underpins the company’s pick-and-place machines today. Europlacer’s policy has been to ensure wherever possible that technology purchased many years ago, especially feeders, remain compatible with the latest pick-and-place equipment. Europlacer designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of highly flexible SMT pick-and-place systems for the global electronics industry.
