Altus has expanded its laser-based solutions with the inclusion of the LPKF CuttingMaster 2122 which significantly improves depaneling efficiency.
Laser-based depaneling technology is essential in the manufacture of intricate and complex printed circuit boards, microchips, automotive parts, solar panels and many other components. The new LPKF CuttingMaster 2122 is assisting manufacturers within these sectors with a newly developed laser source which increases cutting speed with an improved output of up to 25%.
Joe Booth Altus CEO said: “The new LPKF CuttingMaster 2122 is a great addition to our offering. Using state-of-the-art technology the system reliably delivers precision and speed and increases output by up a quarter. It can cut a 0.8mm FR4 board in just 5.9 seconds, which is extremely impressive. Not only does it increase yield and improve efficiency, but it also has a notable price-to-performance ratio.
“LPKF has managed to develop a machine that combines the advantage of laser technology all within an efficient cost-efficient system. We are expecting this to be a popular system within our range of depaneling solutions.”
All laser machines from the LPKF CuttingMaster 2000 series are ideally suited to cutting flexible, flex-ridged and rigid PCBs. Thanks to its innovative laser cutting technology no mechanical or appreciable thermal stresses are introduced, this makes it work effectively on even sensitive substrates.
CuttingMaster 2122 sets new standards in terms of price-performance ratio and establishes a new benchmark for the industry. To find out more contact Altus at sales@altusgroup.co.uk. www.altusgroup.co.uk
