RMD offers an innovative Multi-Channel Characterization Analysis (MCA), a new software package that enhances the operation of the LeadTracer-RoHS XRF analyzer. MCA is the first non-destructive method that helps the user identify and compare known good components with what can be characterized by the user as “sub-standard” or “different” from standard known components. The user can easily identify those components that can then be called counterfeit or sub-standard and should not be sent through to production.
The LeadTracer-RoHS XRF system is a RoHS compliant solution designed specifically for screening all RoHS/WEEE and common elements in electronics including China RoHS.
The system is also a soldering analysis solution, in that it is a quick and easy method to conduct daily solder pot analysis instead of waiting every three months. Finally, the system also serves as a counterfeit components solution by providing a non-destructive method for component verification.
The MCA software package enhances the operation of the LeadTracer-RoHS XRF analyzer. Software updates are frequent and are usually implemented and installed via email attachments, making maintenance easier than ever. Additionally, MCA reduces the risk of recalling products or having to rework assemblies that fail electrical test. The potential for inventories of products being “frozen” or “recalled” is reduced, saving users the expense of inconvenient business interruption.
Premiering in 2005, the Global Technology Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.
