MVP are introducing the Ultra IV as the large format inline AOI system capable of inspecting boards up to 20 x 24 inches. The Ultra IV is configured as standard with a 5 megapixel camera with Tri-Color illumination. With resolutions between 7-17um this system is capable of inspecting 01005 components down to solder joint level. The flexible nature of all MVP's AOI solutions allows the Ultra IV to be configured for multiple positions in the production line including 2D/3D paste inspection, pre and post-reflow, or wavesolder. The system is also fully capable of metrology based reporting.
