Gen3 Systems Limited, a specialist British manufacturer and distributor, is pleased to introduce a totally new design of the Contaminometer (CM Series Process Ionic Contamination Testers) it will be released in Hall A4, Booth 470 at the productronica International Trade Fair, scheduled to take place Nov. 10-13, 2015 at the Messe München exhibition center in Munich, Germany. Gen3 will be exhibiting alongside its German Distributor, Stannol GmbH.

This new design is linked to the introduction of the new process control metric introduced by Gen3 Systems: Process Ionic Contamination Testing. The CM Series measure the amount of ionic contamination in accordance with all existing test methods often referred to as ROSE testing as well as the new PICT test.

The CONTAMINOMETERTM CM Series manufactured by Gen3 Systems all feature:

  • Complete testing within only 3 minutes

  • The entire tank volume is re-circulated 6 times every minute (CM33L up to 240 litres per minute)

  • Unique solid gold measuring cell, ballistic amplifier providing a test accuracy of <0.005mS/cm

  • Unique CURVE-FITTING Analysis algorithm (Merit of Fit)

  • Full regeneration in < 6 minutes

  • Smooth bubble-free circulation at all times

  • Accurate measurement even when the proportion of test solution to surface area under test are huge

  • Automatic temperature compensation

  • 6 systems to meet all applications

  • Measures in accordance with all international and MIL specifications old and new

  • All CM systems have proven Gauge R&R (Repeatability and Reliability) of ~2%

  • The CM Series systems provide far superior Accuracy, Sensitivity, Linearity, Precision and Repeatability

The NEW CM Systems include:

  • ESD Anti-Static laminate Worktop (including 2x connection points for Anti-static wristbands).
  • Hinged doors to the Front and Rear for easy access to the interior components (Front door is lockable using a key for safety/security.

  • New Handling Frames to hold Board assemblies and/or small components during test.

  • Noise levels during testing reduce.

The CM Series comprises: CM11+, CM22, CM33, CM33L, CM60 and CMBBT.

The CM60 system is unique to the market featuring a volumetric measurement cell (VMC) that automatically calculates the surface area to be tested.

Along side the CM Systems Gen3 will also be exhibiting:

The NEW AutoSIR 2 & AutoCAF 2 Insulation Resistance Testing Systems measures changes in surface insulation resistance. The Gen3 Systems AutoSIR 2 system represents a dramatic improvement over existing SIR test alternatives, facilitating the measurement of all 256 channels in seconds.

The Gensonic Stencil Cleaning system will be displayed with a 24" stencil frame. The system uses a 40kHz on-contact ultrasonic transducer for high efficiency cleaning of stencil apertures. The Gensonic can be used either in conjunction with Gen3 stencil cleaning centres or is portable enough to be taken directly to the printer.

The MUST System 3 is the latest technological evolution of the original Multicore Universal Solderability Tester (MUST) that grandfathered all modern solderability test standards. It remains the unquestioned industry benchmark for solderability testing. Capable of measuring down to 0.001mN the MUST is the most accurate and comprehensively equipped test system of its type in the world.

The Solder-Saver offers companies that use wave soldering the opportunity to instantly recycle dross created in the wave solder pot, thereby saving up to 50 percent in new solder bar purchases. It can be used with leaded, lead-free or unleaded wave soldering machines

In addition to the above, Gen3 also manufactures Dip and Spray Coating Systems. The company distributes products for ACE, Finetech, Optilia, Vacunest, Stoelting, Hirox and MBTech
