Speedprint, part of the Blakell Europlacer Group, announces that it has been awarded a Global Technology Award in the category of Printing Equipment for its SP700avi Screen Printer. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, November 15, 2011 ceremony that took place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany during Productronica 2011.
The SP700avi combines Speedprint’s commitment to high performance and reliability with all the necessary features for processing high technology SMT equipment as standard. The system was designed to cope with the rigors of high-volume SMT production while incorporating the flexibility needed in high-mix, quick product setup and changeover environments.
The screen printer was designed to deliver unequaled value with 6 Sigma alignment capabilities through the use of one micron resolution solid state linear encoders on all axes combined with the unique Twin Roving Camera vision system. The resulting technology provides major benefits in machine calibration, which is completed at print height in less than 30 seconds, without the need for specialized equipment or personnel. Of equal importance is the capability to monitor the amount of paste on the stencil, eliminating the possibility of insufficient paste being applied before the print process takes place. These advanced features are supplied as standard within the SP700 platform.
Additionally, the system is fully equipped, as standard, with many features such as auto stencil load/unload, fully programmable vacuum assisted stencil cleaner, 2-D post-print bridge detection incorporating InteliSpect and various tooling solutions also are available as options.
