Multitest, a designer and manufacturer of final test handlers, contactors and load boards used by integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) and final test subcontractors worldwide, announces that the usage of its Gemini™ Kelvin is rapidly increasing at two longstanding customers, both of which rank among the top 25 IDMs.
As more and more functionality is continuously being integrated into devices, there is an increasing need for Kelvin connections. The challenge of landing two independent probes on targets that are becoming smaller has increased. Nevertheless, Kelvin contacting often is the only way to achieve high, accurate voltage force or voltage measurement under high-current test conditions.
Gemini™ Kelvin, based on Multitest’s proprietary Quad Tech™ concept, ensures highly accurate DC measurements. Gemini™ Kelvin features minimum Kelvin-pair probe tip spacing of 0.1 mm to land on small targets. Gemini™ Kelvin typically is deployed for BGA and QFN packages as well as applications such as power control, voltage regulation, mixed signal and FET switches.
The Gemini™ Kelvin is a product of Multitest’s Contactors Division. The St. Paul, MN location is 100 percent dedicated to contacting solutions.
