PRIDE Industries, Inc., a social enterprise providing first-rate manufacturing and service solutions to business and government, recently acquired a Trident Trio High-Yield Automatic Defluxing and Cleanliness Testing System from Aqueous Technologies Corp., North America’s largest provider of batch defluxing systems.
The Trident Trio provides a cost-effective alternative to inline defluxing systems. Since the installation, PRIDE already is benefitting from increased throughput, enabling the company to offer an increased production capacity. Additionally, the system operates on a fraction of the chemical, water and energy of inline systems.
“Aqueous Technologies’ cleaning and cleanliness testing equipment provides best-in-class performance including traceability, verification and impact on the environment,” said Steve Twitchell, VP Sales Operations for PRIDE Industries. “As an EMS provider, increasing the quality and reliability of the products we produce for our OEM customers is our first priority and the driving factor behind our purchase decision.”
“Aqueous Technologies is honored to be the cleaning equipment supplier for PRIDE Industries. PRIDE is one of the nation’s largest employers of people with disabilities. In fact, 2,600 of PRIDE’s 4,600 total employees are disabled,” commented Mike Konrad, President & CEO of Aqueous Technologies. “I was privileged to tour PRIDE’s facility. From the CEO Michael Ziegler to factory worker Michael Wong, everyone I met beamed with pride as they explained the company’s mission. PRIDE’s state-of-the-art surface mount lines are a testament to the company’s commitment to quality and performance. We are extremely pleased and fortunate to be able to call PRID Industries a customer.”
The Trident Trio is equipped with three autonomous defluxing chambers. Each chamber is controlled by a dedicated computer controller and may be operated with different defluxing chemistries for maximum flexibility. Additionally, each defluxing chamber is equipped with independent cleanliness testing capabilities and recallable SPC data records. Unlike any inline defluxing system, the Trident Trio is capable of high throughput levels and built-in cleanliness testing.
