Effective September 1, 2012, KIC expanded its presence in Mexico in order to improve the services available to its customers. In the past, KIC customers in Mexico sent their KIC products to the United States for repair; however, now they can send their profilers and other KIC equipment to Guadalajara, JAL for repair or calibration. The new service office in Guadalajara results in faster turnaround times and less expensive services. Additionally, the office eliminates the need for customers in Mexico to deal with customs when getting products serviced.
For many years KIC has provided field service personnel that travel to customers’ factories to provide on-site training and customer support. The new service office in Guadalajara is much more cost-effective and time efficient for product repair and calibration.
“KIC’s investment in Mexico is another building block in our strategy to make KIC the premier thermal process tool provider in the world. Easy-to-use and powerful products form the core of our product strategy, while a large field service staff distributed around the world ensure that our customers are successful in applying their KIC products,” says Bjorn Dahle, President of KIC.
