Seika Machinery, Inc., a leading provider of advanced machinery, materials and engineering services, announces that Michelle Ogihara, Senior Sales Director, will co-chair the Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) Council meeting during the upcoming SMTA International Conference & Exhibition, scheduled to take place October 16-17, 2012 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, FL. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. in room Asia 3.
The “MSD Standards Update and Practical Guidelines in Handling MSD” meeting will open with a presentation given by Steve Martell of Sonoscan about JEDEC Moisture Sensitivity Updates for 2012. Additionally, the meeting will provide an MSD Standards Update on Packages/PWBs by Mumtaz Bora of Peregrine Semiconductor and Co-Chair of the MSD Council, a discussion about MSD implementation, and will conclude with a question and answer session.
The council is a voluntary group, under the auspices of the SMTA, dedicated to advancing the understanding and practice of moisture sensitive devices control in electronic assembly procedures and practices.
The MSD Council serves industry professionals who are SMTA members that have an interest in moisture sensitive devices. Specifically, the council represents engineering, production management, quality assurance and reliability, research, sales and marketing, education, purchasing, and other functions.
