CyberOptics Corporation (Nasdaq: CYBE) announces the appointment of Todd Liberty to the position of Systems Business Unit Engineering Manager. The SPI, AOI and SPC development teams along with the Product Engineering team will report to Todd, bringing about a unified momentum to executing product releases aligned with CyberOptics’ vision. The move also boosts support for key performance initiatives while ensuring quality, on-time inspection solutions.

Todd is an Electrical Engineer who began his career with CyberOptics 13 years ago as an Embedded Software Engineer with stints into marketing as the Product Manager for AOI and Process Insight, and served most recently as the AOI Inspection Module Program Manager. CyberOptics’ numerous new product programs will benefit immensely from Todd’s strong SMT domain knowledge while his leadership and direction will be critical for the engineering teams to develop top-notch inspection solutions with a revamped user experience.

“I am very excited that Todd has accepted the Systems Engineering Manager position and relocated to Singapore. Todd brings a wealth of experience with our sensor products as well as AOI products and will be able to provide tremendous leadership in these areas. The addition of Todd brings about the right balance to the team in terms of deeper understanding of the SMT inspection market and vast domain experience, which will serve as a solid foundation for the continued expansion of our competitive systems product offerings,” commented Dennis Rutherford, General Manager, Systems Division.
