Saline Lectronics, Inc., a leading domestic contract manufacturer, has appointed Merideth Armstrong as its new Quality Manager. As Saline Lectronics continues its exponential growth, hiring an experienced Quality Manager will help to guarantee further success and customer satisfaction. Merideth will ensure that all quality systems and procedures are up-to-date and make the necessary modifications to guarantee that Saline continues to abide by the latest practices in contract manufacturing.
Merideth joins the Saline Lectronics team with an extensive background in managing quality for various types of contract manufacturing companies, including those involved in the electronics industry. She holds the following certifications: Lean Manufacturing, Leadership and Supervisory Skills for Women, IPC-A-610D, J-STD-001, AF7209 solder certified, Six Sigma Green Belt Course, ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor Training, and First Aid for Mental Disabilities. She also holds a BBA in Business Management and Quality Control.
Merideth’s passion for the EMS industry was ignited in 2005 when she began as a Quality Technician for Sparton Electronics, where she was given the opportunity to educate employees about the importance and satisfaction of performing a quality job. She excelled quickly while at Sparton Electronics and was promoted to Manufacturing Supervisor, managing a production team for a major new customer. After Sparton Electronics, Merideth went on to work for Peckham and Wardcraft Conveyor, expanding her knowledge in roles as Manufacturer Supervisor and Quality Manager. When she heard about the opportunity at Saline Lectronics she was excited to get back into the EMS industry.
“After interviewing and going on a tour of the facility, it just felt like home. I chose Saline Lectronics because of the staff and the fact that I wanted to work with a company that believed in their product,” said Armstrong. “I look forward to helping the company with its continued growth.” As a native Michigander, Merideth will fit well into the Saline Lectronics culture.
