Saline Lectronics, Inc., a leading domestic contract manufacturer, has appointed David Cusumano as its new Vice President of Engineering. As Saline Lectronics continues its exponential growth, hiring an experienced engineer to its management team to drive the continued implementation of engineering best practices and process improvements will guarantee that Saline Lectronics continues to provide its customers with a high quality, cost-effective product.
In conjunction with Cusumano joining the team, Saline Lectronics promoted Bob Heller to Senior Vice President of Engineering. As a founding member of the Saline Lectronics team, Bob will train David in his new role. Bob believes that David is the perfect candidate to accelerate Saline Lectronics to the next level in regards to the latest and greatest engineering practices for PCB assembly contract manufacturing.
David brings 30 years of electro-mechanical, mechanical, and opto-mechanical product design and manufacturing experience. He has an extensive background in multi-disciplined engineering management, responsible for design, documentation control and product verification testing as well as the manufacturing of a variety of products. He holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and has completed multiple continuing education courses and seminars regarding various engineering tools, quality programs, management and leadership training.
David’s record of product development and manufacturing success began as a Design Engineer in the computer peripheral industry at Northern Telecom, and continued at Everex and Exabyte as a Principal Engineer and Department Manager. His career continued in the industrial and automotive electronics packaging industries. His recent experience included consulting with start-ups at the University of Michigan’s Office of Technology Transfer.
