ZESTRON, the globally leading provider of high precision cleaning products, services and training solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry, is pleased to announce that Jigar Patel, Senior Process Engineer, ZESTRON, will present “Defluxing in a No-Clean & OA World” at the Colorado Cleaning and Reliability Workshop on Tuesday, October 22nd.
During the assembly process, removing impurities from a board’s surface as well as underneath the components is critical for long-term efficiency and ensuring product reliability. With industry trends moving towards smaller components, removing residues becomes increasingly difficult due to low standoff heights. Mr. Patel will provide insight on why the cleaning process is essential during the assembly process, and how electrochemical migration and leakage currents can lead to component failures. Additionally, he will address the limitations of using only DI-water in lead-free processes and provide solutions to fully remove surface contamination.
This free-of-charge workshop will be held at the Doubletree Castle Thornton, in Thornton, Colorado, from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM MDT. For more information about ZESTRON’s learning opportunities, please visit ZESTRON Academy.
