Trends within the electronics industry, including miniaturized components, increased board density and reduced standoff heights are driving the need for precision cleaning whether using RMA, No-Clean or water soluble fluxes. Mr. Vargas discussed reliability issues and provided solutions with best practices. Additionally, an overview of stencil, misprint and maintenance cleaning applications was presented.
Axel Vargas is an active member of the SMTA as well as the IPC. Utilizing his extensive engineering background, he has contributed to multiple case studies performed in collaboration with major cleaning equipment manufacturers. Mr. Vargas graduated with a degree in Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico. He has been with ZESTRON America since 2008.
