FCT Assembly is pleased to announce that it has hired a Mechanical Engineer for the A-Laser division. George Surjan joins the FCT Assembly/A-Laser team, effective immediately. Surjan’s appointment will allow A-Laser to introduce new technologies, including 3-D printers and CNC machines. He will be a tremendous asset, enabling A-Laser to offer prototyping of LDS-MID components in-house.
“We are very excited about the addition of George to lead our design and engineering efforts for molded interconnect devices,” said Josh Saunders, President of A-Laser. “His extensive background in process development and new product design is a huge asset as we move forward into another cutting-edge industry.”
Surjan began his career in the medical industry, designing pharmaceutical packaging for Systex Bioscience. He has a broad range of industry experience, from designing and engineering medical devices and equipment, to LPT gas trucks and other gas distribution products with CAD applications for the propane and natural gas industry. Surjan holds a Master’s degree in Network Engineering and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at San Jose State University. He holds numerous certifications including MCSE, NOVEL, CISCO, MCNA and MCP.
