KYZEN’s Head of Technology Presents Monitoring & Controlling Contamination Levels at SMTAI

Sep 24, 2014

Ram Wissel,

Ram Wissel,

KYZEN Corporation has announced that Ram Wissel, head of Technology, will present “Real Time Monitoring of the Aqueous Cleaning Wash Bath” at the upcoming SMTA International exhibition as part of Session MFX4:  “Solder and Cleaning Process Selection and Control.” The presentation is schedule to take place Oct. 1, 2014 from 8-10 a.m. in Room 49 at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The new technical paper is co-authored by David Lober, Dirk Ellis and Dr. Mike Bixenman of KYZEN’s environmentally-friendly cleaning solutions technology team.

Electronics assemblers seeking the highest quality output need to know that the wash bath is within rigid control limits. Controlling the cleaning process wash bath requires the ability to monitor the chemistry/water ratio, adjust for build-up and depletions, flux loading and to predict when the wash bath is depleted. Achieving real-time monitoring and controlling adjustments requires a complex solution that is easy to use and that is now available to the industry. KYZEN created the industry’s first system and has since continued to advance the technology for the industry. The purpose of this environmentally-friendly cleaning processes research presentation is to share detailed insights into the most-advanced technology for monitoring, measuring and controlling contamination levels. This technology delivers real-time data for controlling the cleaning process, providing improved efficiencies, reliably and consistently.

Ram Wissel is a process-driven, innovative engineer with a thirst for solutions that keep KYZEN clients on the cutting-edge in cleaning chemistries, processes and technology. He has led the development of KYZEN’s line of products that monitor, manage and control cleaning concentration solutions automatically, including InstaTrak, PCS and related first-in-class and best-in-class cleaning process innovations. As product requirements continue to change and technologies move forward, KYZEN’s global applications laboratory teams count on Wissel to develop and integrate more efficient “greener” technologies. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Arkansas and started his career at KYZEN in 1998.
