Rocket EMS Purchases PARMI’s SIGMA X Series SPI System

Nov 06, 2014

Rocket EMS Inc., a Silicon Valley-based full-service EMS supplier, today announced that it has purchased a SIGMA X series solder paste inspection system from PARMI.

At Rocket we promise extraordinary quality, spectacular customer service and a sense of urgency in everything we do,” commented Craig Arcuri, CEO of Rocket EMS. “Because of our obsession with being the best, we only select the best. The addition of the PARMI system further demonstrates Rocket’s commitment to providing extraordinary quality in every aspect of production.”

We’re very pleased to partner with Rocket EMS, joining them in the quest for perfection and offering a unique customer experience,” stated Jeff Mogensen, General Manager PARMI USA. “Our companies share similar aspirations, making us the perfect fit. We look forward to supporting Rocket and its customers.”

PARMI’s SIGMA X Series is a next-generation in-line solder paste inspection system. The SIGMA X inspects pads smaller than 01005 and sizes as small as 100 µm. The SIGMA X inspection is the fastest in the industry with the RSC-7 sensor. The system features a number of differentiating features including measuring speed of 100 cm2/second at 10x10 µm resolution and the revolutionary Printer Doctor.

With PARMI’s Printer Doctor technology, Rocket EMS now can automatically analyze SPI data in real-time, correlate paste deposition to printer activities, and monitor trend change. Additionally, Printer Doctor alerts operators to process issues and provides them with user-defined corrective action. The system monitors a number of screen printer activities including board support tooling, squeegee blade condition, edge clamp condition, paste readiness to print, triggers stencil wiping and others.
