STI Electronics, Inc., a full service organization providing training services, analytical and failure analysis, prototyping, and small- to medium-volume PCB assembly, announces that Frank Honyotski, Master Instructor, will present at the SMTA Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter Meeting, scheduled to take place Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Hisco World Headquarters in Houston, TX. Honyotski will present “Impacts of New Revisions in J-STD-001F and IPC-A-610F.”

Two leading standards for the electronics assembly industry have been revised: IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, is recognized worldwide as the sole industry-consensus standard for soldering processes and materials. This presentation will cover some of the most significant changes to both of these standards with the release of the F revision.

Honyotski is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor for IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721 and J-STD-001. He conducts IPC certification training at the STI training site located in Madison, AL, Houston, TX and Crane, IN as well as on-site training classes for STI customers.

This is a free meeting for both members and non-members and dinner will be provided before the presentation. Sign-in is at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6 pm.  Mr. Honyotski’s presentation is scheduled from 6:30-7:15 p.m.  To attend the meeting, please RSVP to dmayse@slb.com
