Libra Industries, a privately held electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, has installed a Summit 1800 Performance Rework Platform. The system incorporates all of the innovative features that have been developed since the invention of high-level, semi-automatic surface mount and microelectronics rework technology.

Libra Industries’ addition of the Summit 1800 for rework is an example of their ongoing dedication to quality and expanding their capabilities,” said Don Naugler, VJ Electronix Director of Global Sales and Marketing. “The new Summit is equipped with many important features such as automated scavenging and triple stage heating for reliable rework of BGAs, connectors and PoP.”

Extensive field experience and user feedback have resulted in the development of the Summit 1800 Rework Platform that exceeds current and future industry requirements. Advanced rework software with an intuitive 1-2-3 Go! operator interface and Auto Profile maximizes ease of use, promoting the most consistent process while maintaining the inherent capability to rework today’s most complex area-array components.

This investment will enable Libra Industries to continue to provide customized manufacturing solutions to help make its customers more competitive and improve their profitability. For more information, visit www.libraind.com.
