PORTLAND, MAINE – Today VisionMaster, Inc. released VisionMaster® 6.0, the latest version of VisionMaster's comprehensive software suite which operates all VisionMaster® desktop SPI systems, both manual and fully automatic. In addition to performing outstanding 3D measurements and plotting PCB features exceptionally, VisionMaster® 6.0 adds a slew of new features to increase utility and efficiency.
A major new enhancement not offered by any other benchtop SPI system is VisionMaster® v6.0's ability to perform negative height measurements. Negative height measurement allows VisionMaster® systems to be used in many applications where the reference is higher than the measurement area. Among the many SMT applications, now measuring the thickness of stencils is as easy as select-and-click.
VisionMaster® v6.0 software features improved processing algorithms and is a more efficient 64-bit executable. Touchscreen support for Windows™ 8/10 has been extended and updated.
VisionMaster® v6.0 features charting like never before. Built-in SPC support has been enhanced by providing process capability data range selection and better upper and lower limit control, and color palette-based threshold entry. Removing unwanted data points for charts is incredibly easy, and preserves an audit trail for engineers. Full support for external SPC packages, like Siemens' Criterion® and Minitab® has also been expanded. Analyzing data to optimize your throughput and yield is a breeze with VisionMaster® v6.0.
The capability to perform multiple 2D measurements has also been added to VisionMaster® v6.0. The width, height and diameter of objects can easily be measured by simply clicking the middle mouse button and drawing measurement templates on any object in the field of view of the VisionMaster® sensor. To make drawing templates for multiple objects easier, pad array creation with a clear, intuitive user interface has been introduced.
