Benoit Pouliquen has been appointed as Corporate Senior Vice President and Global Head of the Electronics business of Henkel Adhesive Technologies. He is succeeding Alan Syzdek who retired last year.

Pouliquen joined Henkel as part of its 2014 acquisition of thermal materials leader, The Bergquist Company (Bergquist), where he served on the Board of Directors for many years before being named CEO in 2011. He has been deeply involved with the successful integration of Bergquist into Henkel and the continuous expansion of thermal management solutions within the electronics business of Adhesive Technologies. Having spent his entire career in electronics, first at Johnson Matthey then as CEO of flex circuit manufacturer, Sheldahl, before joining Bergquist, Pouliquen brings exceptional credentials and unique perspective to his role at Henkel.

Benoit has proven his leadership skills at Bergquist, ultimately positioning the company as an attractive organization for acquisition,” comments Jan-Dirk Auris, Executive Vice President Henkel Adhesive Technologies. “He has been an influential driver of the fast and successful integration of Bergquist into Henkel and we are confident that our Electronics business will grow further under his global leadership.”

My overarching objectives are to keep building on our achievements, exploiting market opportunities and executing on our business goals,” says Pouliquen, who looks forward to integrating additional competencies into Henkel’s Electronics division. “With the thermal portfolio solidly delivering great value and our broad assembly and semiconductor materials product lines expanding, we now look forward to complementing our market offer with Henkel specialty coatings and adhesives critical to the manufacture of display technologies. This group, which was formerly part of another Henkel business unit, fits nicely into our strategy to drive even more growth in display interface applications such as handhelds, wearables, computing and automotive.”

Pouliquen holds an Engineering degree from Ecole Centrale Paris in France and an Master’s degree from Canada’s McGill University. He is based in Henkel’s Irvine, California facility.
