Kurtz Ersa North America, a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new demo & technology center in Guadalajara. Located at Av. Lopez Mateos Sur No. 1450 Int. L-7A, Col. Las Amapas, Tlajomulco de Zuniga, Jalisco, the grand opening celebration is scheduled to take place Nov. 17, 2016. Ersa continues to stay ahead of the curve with its award-winning reflow, rework, and selective soldering technologies, and the event will focus on the company’s future growth in Mexico and emerging technologies for its customers.
Kurtz Ersa Mexico, S.A. DE C.V, Ersa’s subsidiary in Mexico, was established in 2013. Ersa has continued to see exponential growth in the automotive and electronic industries in Mexico since it opened its first facility in Mexico, and has grown to 12 sales and service personnel. Mexico’s overall economy continues to show solid growth and diversification in the future. With a footprint of more than 203m2, the new facility will house Ersa‘s complete range of soldering systems.
At the grand opening, global and local partners and customers in Mexico will have the opportunity to tour Ersa’s new Mexican facilities. Live demonstrations of the HOTFLOW 3/20 reflow oven, VERSAFLOW 3/45 and HR600/2 will be conducted. VERSAFLOW 3/45 continues to impress and remains the industry’s most widely used in-line selective soldering platform and is the most repeatable system on the market. The new HR600/2 is an economic, highly automated rework system that provides a repeatable process with its proven closed-loop Ersa rework technology. Finally, the Ersa HOTFLOW 3/20 provides excellent heat transfer with the most varied board assemblies with optimized energy balance.
Joe Clure, Ersa’s Process/Applications Engineer, will hold technology seminars on Tuesday, Nov. 15 and Wednesday, Nov 16. The focus of the seminar will be based on improved topside hole-fill and cycle time for selective soldering. Denis Jean, Technology Manager for Kester Solder, will give a presentation about flux selection for selective soldering and reliability for PCB with flux under components.
Ersa believes that the new Guadalajara facility will enable the company to offer even faster response times, in addition to its competent service through local, Spanish-speaking personnel. The Ersa Mexico central warehouse will be located at this site, as will the demo facility for the Ersa Division and general sales offices.
Kurtz Ersa is a traditional family-owned company. With worldwide presence and the highest quality demands, the new facility in Mexico is another step forward in expanding the company’s leading position. Kurtz Ersa Mexico is closely connected to the manufacturing facilities in both Germany and China, as well as the company’s location in the USA. The subsidiary will be overseen by Albrecht Beck, President and COO of the North American Division. For more information about Kurtz Ersa North America, visit www.ersa.com.
