Oct 12, 2001

Yavne, Israel; October 11th, 2001 Valor Computerized Systems (Neuer Markt: VCR) today announced the opening of a new Valor office in Taiwan to sell and support its Enterprise 3000 DFM verification system, Trilogy 5000 CAM engineering system, and e4eNet collaboration solution to the PCB electronics industry. Valor is a global leader in providing productivity software solutions to electronics design and manufacturing services companies.

George Chang has been appointed as General Manager to manage the Taiwan office. Prior to joining Valor, Chang was responsible for major account sales for Agilents SMT product line, and before that Hewlett-Packard, in Taiwan and China and comes with over 5 years experience in sales and management positions across the electronics industry.

Commenting on his appointment, George Chang, General Manager, said Valor sees a growth in business for its DFM physical verification software and PCB assembly and test CAM engineering products. Taiwan leads the world in electronics production for PC motherboards, PC notebooks, modems and monitors, and today the mobile phone and telecommunications markets are the fastest growing areas. In these sectors, the need for powerful manufacturing process preparation tools that can capture board design data, perform virtual prototype manufacture, and drive the rapid transition to successful volume production is growing rapidly. Valors ODB++ data model for printed circuit assemblies, coupled with its world-beating assembly machine simulation and optimization capabilities and unique machine-level component library solutions, effectively drive down cost in the manufacturing supply chain to a new level."

"Valors installed base in Asia is steadily growing and includes customers such as Acer, Celestica, Flextronics, Hitachi, Inventec, Matsushita, Mitsubishi, NEC, SCI, Samsung, Sony, Solectron, Toshiba and many others. Now is the right time for us to open a direct sales operation in this market and George Chang brings good market knowledge to our Far East organization," added Uri Michaelis, Vice President of Valor Far East Operations.
