Metals Recycler Conecsus Partners with Amerway, Cobar for ‘Cradle to Grave’ Solution

Aug 06, 2017

Conecsus, LLC, announced today that they are partnering with Amerway Inc., and COBAR Balver Zinn Solder Products, two leading global solder manufacturers, to provide a ‘cradle to grave’ solution for electronics manufacturers. Conecsus, LLC is an ISO 14001 EMS certified recycling company and a refiner of SMT solder/solder paste wastes and residues, as well as Tin, Lead, Antimony, Silver, Gold, and other metals from a variety of manufacturing industries. Conecsus converts these wastes into usable metal products, paying cash to the customer.

Amerway, Inc. provides the electronics industry with a wide range of high-purity solder products; partnering with them allows Conecsus to offer customers a ‘cradle to grave’ soldering solution, from high-purity soldering alloys and products to waste recycling solutions for dross and other metals waste by-products from the SMT/PCB assembly process.

Conecsus is the only recycler that in most cases can take a customer’s HAZ Waste contaminated material as a non-hazardous product stream rather than a hazardous waste stream because of their patented RACS process. Conecsus pays on the actual metals received (‘as-is’ basis) instead of only the metals recovered from the recycling process (‘recovered’ basis) ensuring that customers get the maximum value for their metals wastes and by-products.

Amerway Inc., based in Altoona, Pennsylvania, is a premier supplier of solder pastes, fluxes, bar, wire, and custom alloy products to the electronics manufacturing industry. Amerway manufactures a large selection of lead free alloys including pure tin, tin/copper, tin/antimony, tin/silver, SAC-alloys, fluxes, and more. Amerway has been recently awarded ISO 9001 quality certification, and now offers high-quality and high-purity COBAR Balver Zinn products including SN100C alloy in all its variations.

In making the announcement, Tom Mitchell, Conecsus’ North American Business Manager, said, “This new partnership allows Conecsus to approach new and existing customers offering new quality products with competitive pricing with Conecsus’ metals waste reclamation services; in all it’s truly a ‘cradle to grave’ solution for electronics manufacturers. As partners, we can offer these products and services as seamlessly as if we were one company. This relationship makes both companies stronger and more competitive in the marketplace.”

Terry Buck, Amerway’s President, stated, “This partnership with Conecsus allows us to offer our customers a ‘green’ solution to handling metals waste at the end of the electronics assembly process and put money back into their pockets. Combining top-quality solder products with an innovative waste handling solution that pays the customer back is a big win-win for every one of our customers,” Terry added.

Founded in 1980, Conecsus, LLC is a sophisticated ‘green’ recycler and refiner of SMT solder/solder paste wastes and residues, as well as tin, tin-zinc, lead, silver, gold, and other metals from a variety of manufacturing industries. Conecsus converts these wastes into usable metal products. Conecsus’ mission is to provide innovative and high-quality industrial byproducts management, metal recovery, and recycling options that provide world-class value and service to our customers, and display respect and stewardship toward the environment.
