The last week of September witnessed an auspicious gathering at Europlacer’s manufacturing base and French HQ in Rocheserviere, Western France. Local dignitaries and factory personnel mixed with global customers and members of Europlacer’s international sales and support teams to declare the prestigious new facility open.
An opening ceremony took place in the new customer demonstration area, using a French tricolour ribbon held by the longest-serving and the newest Europlacer employees. Phillippe Latombe, Député de Vendée (the Department within the Pays-de-la-Loire region that includes Rocheserviere) spoke of the local authorities’ admiration for Europlacer – one of the largest and most progressive hi-tech employers in the district – and his delight in seeing the company prosper.
Then Alain Leboeuf, Conseiller Départemental Vendée, added his voice to the proceedings by congratulating the business for its global growth and local achievements. He singled out Gaby Chataigner for special praise. Gaby is the brains behind all Europlacer’s product developments for a generation. He is also the company’s longest-serving employee.
Monsieur Latombe then cut the ribbon, aided by Robert Conway, chairman of Europlacer’s parent company Parable Trust, and pronounced the new facility officially open. In a symbolic gesture, the tricolour ribbon was cut into short sections, representing the French national flag, and handed to each of the attendees and VIP guests.
The new facilities include enlarged production floor space given over to placement machine build, supported by new areas for stock, feeder manufacturing and Kanban kitting. The other major infrastructure improvement alongside the factory extension is a smart new customer area constructed to the highest specifications. It comprises training rooms and presentation suites adjoining spacious demonstration facilities featuring Europlacer’s placement and printing machine platforms. On this occasion it served as the perfect venue for the official opening ceremony.
