Nordson Corporation’s latest acquisition, optical control, to show component counter with automatic loading/unloading at SMTAI

Aug 21, 2019

optical control, now part of the Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ/NDSN), is pleased to announce that it will exhibit at SMTA International, scheduled to take place Sept. 24-25, 2019 at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The company will demonstrate the Nordson DAGE Assure™ component counter in Booth #700.

The Assure™ X-ray from Nordson DAGE, formerly named the OC-SCAN®CCX.3, is a true plug-and-play system that can X-ray ANY size reel in the same cycle time regardless of type of component, or how full or empty it is. High speed combined with the best accuracy, it is capable of providing an ROI faster than any other machine. The highlight of the system is that there are no libraries required or need for customer input to get started: simply plug in the machine and start counting.

The machine also can be configured for complete automation, including integrations into other sytems such as automated storage units. Whether this is done by software only, using a loading and unloading unit, or complete integration, is up to the customer in their steps toward industry 4.0.

Using the Assure™ while communicating directly with your ERP system ensures precise knowledge of your inventory at all times, ultimately resulting in “keeping your SMT lines running.”

Headquartered in Aylesbury, UK, Nordson DAGE is a unit of the Nordson Corporation and manufactures and supports a complete range of award winning digital X-ray inspection systems and bond test equipment for the printed circuit board assembly and semiconductor industries.
