With the growing interest in the use of low temperature soldering and the use of solder paste in rework we have created the first training resources available to downoad at www.bobwillis.co.uk Training materials for use in your own onsite workshops or tailor made onsite hands on sessions. The training material feature training wall charts and a photo album of images to use in PowerPoint, reports or on websites
Low Temperature Hand Soldering & De-Soldering Training Wall Charts
Our wall charts show you the required steps to hand solder and de-solder using low temperature alloys. The colour wall charts include the use of solder wick and professional vacuum de-soldering tools. They also include steps in hand soldering with liquid and tacky fluxes and the resulting LTSA solder joints
Good practice in solder tip maintenance is illustrated with correct tinning before use and storage of the soldering tools with cored and solid solder wire. We have produced many wall charts over the years to help training professionals and quality engineers pass on information in a visual way to new staff
The 8 posters are provided as a pdf download file and can be printed as A4 or A3 wall charts in colour for onsite use
Low Temperature Soldering Photo Album
Low temperature solder alloys can be used in a number of applications and there is growing requirement to train staff on these materials. Our photos are divided up into folders and individually named. Example of satisfactory and defective joints are included for use in your training courses, reports, PowerPoint presentations or online. The images cover solid and corded wire, solder paste, hand soldering, reflow and selective joints
A number of video clips are also provided in the photo album showing reflow soldering and rework of solder joints and can also be included in PowerPoint presentations for training
We offer a wide range of photo albums which provide process, quality engineers, marketing or editorial staff with a unique source of photographs which may be used in company inspection documents, technical presentations and websites provided the resulting product is not resold. The photographs can also be used in marketing and advertising material or in technical articles. They may be simply pasted into any Word or PowerPoint document for in house company use
Each photo album in our collection is provided as a digital download and contains between 200 -400 images of process defects, product examples and related images. Photographs may be in .jpg or .Tiff file format in high or medium resolution
To complement our training material we will be offering onsite and hands on training workshops on the use of solder paste, solid and cored wire for manual soldering and reflow
In addition you can also attend our first webinar on the use of Low Temperature Soldering Processes https://www.bobwillis.co.uk/event/low-temperature-solder-benefits-process-concerns/
