Altus Selected as Partner for Hikvision's Innovative Screening Solutions

Jun 29, 2020

Hikvision has used its expertise to design a range of innovative solutions to support the industry in returning to work whilst mitigating the risk of staff safety. To bring the new range of thermal measurement and temperature monitoring equipment to the UK and Ireland, Altus Group, a leading distributor of capital equipment, has been selected as the ideal partner to gain traction within the region.

Building on its impressive portfolio of products to help business navigate to a new normal in the workplace, Altus is pleased to add Hikvision to its list of preeminent suppliers to offer safety solutions.

Altus will be stocking the Minmoe thermal measurement terminal as well as the very capable thermal measurement gate offering customers a capability regardless of budget for investment.

‘’Having a product with a reputation like Hikvision in our staff safety portfolio, allows us to support our customers with the very best technology available in the market at incredibly competitive prices,” explained Matt Jones, Sales Director, Altus Group.

“Safety-related equipment is extremely important for companies as staff start to return to the workplace. Hikvision’s solutions can be installed with ease and offers our customers peace of mind.”

Human skin-surface temperature is an important indicator of physical health. Using thermographic technology, Hikvision’s Minmoe touch-free access control and temperature screening solution is designed to achieve rapid preliminary screening with high efficiency. It can be easily fitted to a wall at a building’s reception or on a temperature screening terminal with floor standing bracket making it portable.

Alternatively, Hikvision’s walk-through gate can be installed monitoring temperature as people walk through the reception. Adopting the thermal imagery technology, the walk-through detector realises non-contact temperature measurement with the face detection function of the camera making an accurate positioning of the measurement. Additionally the detector also supports metal detection making its use multifunctional.

“Altus has already seen investments in both platforms but can see that the potential is massive as industry and the wider population brace for life in the new normal. With Hikvision, you have a thermal measurement solution with the potential of full traceability and analysis. Whether you are looking for a solution to help measure skin temperature, or a touch-free access terminal for your facility, this equipment can work well as a safety solution going forward,” concluded Matt Jones.
