Austin American Technology's Redesigned X Series Named Best Cleaning Equipment by GLOBAL Technology Awards

Nov 22, 2021

Austin American Technology (AAT) is pleased to announce that it received a 2021 GLOBAL Technology Award in the category of Cleaning Equipment for its redesigned X Series Stencil Cleaner. The award was announced during a ceremony that took place Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021. during productronica in Munich, Germany.

Austin American Technology’s redesigned X Series Stencil Cleaner is available with either a 30in or 40in configuration. X Series Vertical Format Batch Cleaning Systems provide maximum chemistry flexibility to meet a wide variety of applications. Aqueous, saponification, semi-aqueous, alcohols and hybrid solvents can be utilized to remove flux residues, solder pastes, inks, adhesives and other residues from boards, stencils, or tooling used in the production process.

The X Series system is designed around counter-rotating blind hole high energy spray bars. The added pressure allows the system to successfully clean fine pitch stencils, low stand-off components, misprinted through hole, blind assemblies, and the ability to remove uncured glues and adhesives, yet gentle enough to use on frameless and foil stencils.

The X Series is the first series of cleaners manufactured to meet all CFX standards. It uses modern era smart technology while maintaining the durability and technology that has made the X Series a top choice for stencil cleaners since 1988. Available upgrades include PCB & Misprint Cleaning.

The GLOBAL Technology Awards have recognized the very best new innovations in the printed circuit assembly and packaging industries since 2005. The prestigious awards contest has been bringing together the global SMT and advanced packaging industry in a celebration of the companies and people that are achieving the highest standards and driving our industry forward. Austin American Technology is on the forefront of engineering and manufacturing high performance cleaning system for over 35 years, delivering solutions worldwide. AAT was founded in 1986, as a provider of SMT rework systems and process engineering testing services. In 1988, their focus shifted toward the high-end electronics cleaning segment with the introduction of the world’s first automated stencil cleaner. In 2000, Austin American Technology became a market leader in inline cleaning systems with the introduction of the award-winning HydroJet® series. Patented cleaning and drying technologies were incorporated into an energy and space-efficient format to set new standards for performance and low cost of ownership. Building on this success, AAT introduced the MicroJet® inline flip chip cleaner to provide high volume cleaning capability in a small footprint.  In 2013 AAT introduced the world’s smallest most efficient inline cleaner, the NanoJet®.
