Nordson TEST & INSPECTION, a division of the Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN), received a 2022 GLOBAL Technology Award in the category of ID Systems / Component Counters for its Assure FLEX E. The award was announced during a ceremony that took place Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, during SMTA International.
The Assure FLEX E features an internal conveyor system, built specifically to physically integrate directly to an inventory management system from JUKI Automation and Essegi Automation. It is the only X-ray component counter in the world that can be controlled directly from a storage management system and does not require any input from an operator. The Assure FLEX E provides a “hands-off” approach offering the most complete automation, and less manual handling of components throughout the life cycle. The Assure FLEX E also can be used as a standard, stand-alone machine for quick counts of reels without sending them into storage or as a machine ready to adapt to future automation.
The Global Technology Awards have recognized the very best new innovations in the printed circuit assembly and packaging industries since 2005. The prestigious awards contest has been bringing together the global SMT and advanced packaging industry in a celebration of the companies and people that are achieving the highest standards and driving our industry forward.
