Insituware LLC received a 2022 GLOBAL Technology Award in the category of Test Equipment for its CC-100 Conformal Coating Thickness Tester. The award was announced during a ceremony that took place Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022 during SMTA International.
The new CC-100 Conformal Coating Thickness Tester measures the wet and dry thickness of conformal coatings directly on production boards. In less than five seconds, this non-destructive and contactless measurement provides highly accurate results to help electronics manufacturers meet requirements for quality standards. The measurements are automatically recorded in Insituware’s SPC webapp for data storage and traceability.
Another previous award-winning product from Insituware, the Vision MARK-1, is a handheld device for materials quality control that currently offers measurements to determine fitness for use of solder paste, conformal coatings, and adhesives. The Vision MARK-1 is also expandable for other future materials measurements to ensure materials quality control on the factory floor.
