The latest Pentium 4 systems using the new D850EMD2 and D850EMV2 will enable the use of 40ns, 800MHz Direct Rambus modules (RIMM modules), which achieve a peak bandwidth of up to 3.2GB/s in dual-channel Rambus architecture. Both the D850EMD2 and D850EMV2 Intel Desktop Boards are based on the new Intel i850E chipset supporting Pentium 4, running at a faster 533MHz front side bus (FSB).

"Kingston is strongly committed to supporting the latest Intel roadmap and new technology efforts," said Stephen Rodriguez, director, strategic marketing, Kingston. "Kingston's involvement in technology development and our close collaboration with Intel ensures to our customers ample availability of RIMM modules worldwide. Kingston is ready to support Intel's newest D850EMD2 and D850EMV2 with our ValueRAM line of RIMM modules," added Rodriguez.

Kingston has been working with Intel Corporation since March of 1998 to ensure that leading semiconductor manufacturers, PC OEMs, the distribution channel, system builders and corporate customers can depend on Kingston for premium quality memory modules. In addition to shipping RIMM modules for OEM systems as they become available, the following ValueRAM PC800-40 RIMM modules are immediately available in capacities of 256MB and 512MB with either ECC or non-ECC support.
