At the company headquarters of Scheugenpflug GmbH on a site of almost 10,000 square meters Atlas Copco is constructing an Electronics Competence Center to handle the technologies involved in electronics manufacturing. In the fall of 2024, this supplier of premium dispensing solutions will have three times more space for innovation in the fully sustainable and architecturally ambitious building.
The market for electronics manufacturing is developing rapidly, presenting the players with a stream of exciting new challenges and calling for lots of space for innovative thinking and action. Atlas Copco is responding to this trend with a strong commitment to its Scheugenpflug product line. “Our investment underlines the importance we attach to the strategic benchmark technology in Neustadt. We will be supplementing this with technologies from Atlas Copco, thereby strengthening the portfolio even further,” said Berthold Peters, President of the Industrial Assembly Solutions (IAS) division at Atlas Copco.
A meeting place for innovation
In keeping with its purpose, the building is designed as a visionary extension of the company’s headquarters at Gewerbepark 23 – with plenty of space for face-to-face meetings in the Innovation Center and in the training rooms and offices, plus a café area. Employees and visitors have a total of 4,100 square meters of meeting space spread over two floors. The design concept is sustainable and ecologically advanced with a modern ambiance to make everyone feel comfortable. The complex is arranged in three cubes as an innovation triangle around a green center, bordered by open spaces and parking spaces for bicycles and cars Mayor Thomas Memmel was impressed by the commitment shown by the technology group: “We are delighted that with its new building in Neustadt an der Donau Scheugenpflug, in conjunction with Atlas Copco, is creating tremendous added value for the region – both economically and architecturally.”
