Research Triangle Park, NC---DuPont Electronic Technologies will highlight its newest technology offerings at the IPC Printed Circuits Expo in Booth #634. DuPont Electronic Technologies will feature a number of new technologies of interest to fabricators in printed circuit materials, laminate materials, polymer thick films and, most notably, its newest product line of embedded passive materials, DuPont Interra.
"The theme around our exhibit this year is 'New Technology Starts Here," said DuPont Electronic Technologies vice president and general manager David B. Miller. "DuPont Electronic Technologies revolutionized the printed wiring board (PWB) industry when we invented DuPont Riston over 30 years ago, and we plan to do no less with our new Interra brand embedded passive technologies today."
Two Interra brand products are now available. Interra EP20x series ceramic embedded resistor system combines the proven stable and reliable performance of ceramic resistor pastes with the miniaturization and cost-effectiveness of printed circuit boards. With the broad range of resistances available from this system, most if not all of the ceramic surface mounted components on board can be replaced with embedded components realizing a tremendous improvement in space utilization and reliability. Interra HK10 was awarded the honor of being featured in this year's IPC Innovative Technology Showcase. This planar capacitor laminate permits the removal of the vast majority of bypass capacitors from the board surface. In addition, it's thin, dramatically reducing inductance and EMI for improved signal integrity and overall board performance.
