The award was presented on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, during a ceremony at productronica 2025 in Munich, Germany.
The iCoat-6J is engineered for ultra-high precision application of thin-film selective conformal coatings on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). Designed to support both high-volume and high-mix, low-volume production, the system is ideally suited for industries such as electronics, medical devices, automotive, and aerospace—where coating accuracy directly impacts product reliability and performance.
Unlike traditional spray systems, the iCoat-6J features non-contact jetting and non-atomized film spray valves, achieving coating widths as fine as 1.6 mm and up to 19 mm for low-viscosity coatings. This minimizes overspray and reduces or even eliminates the need for labor-intensive masking, enabling manufacturers to coat complex PCB geometries, including tight spaces and blind spots, with consistent, high-quality results.
Key to its performance is the closed-loop fluid heating and recirculation system, which stabilizes pressure and temperature for reliable viscosity control—even during extended idle times. Additional features include laser film fan spray width monitoring, a standard dual-valve configuration, CCD vision alignment, material heating and filtration systems, barcode/2D code scanning, and multi-stage conveyors for maximum flexibility.
