SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH October 23, 2003 Parvus Corporation today announced the release of its SpacePC 2320 Series CPU, an Intel Pentium MMX compatible embedded PC integrating a low-power NS Geode GX1 266MHz processor together with a wealth of peripheral and software support, all on a space-saving (3.550 x 3.775) PC/104 form factor module. Product pricing is below $350/per board in volume orders of 100+ units.

The module includes 128MB SDRAM and interfaces for 10/100 Ethernet, E-IDE, floppy, 2x USB, 2x Serial, LCD-TFT/ LCD-CRT video, AC97 sound, parallel, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, as well as a solid state disk (SSD) socket for non-volatile DiskOnChip memory.

The 2320 Series computer board is flexibly designed for high performance embedded applications that leverage either standard PC or real-time operating systems (RTOS), including Windows 95/98/NT/CE, VxWorks, QNX, Linux or ROM-DOS. Available in both standard (0C to +60C) and extended temperature (-40C to +85C) versions, the 2320 Series makes an ideal platform for aviation, industrial, medical, military, and transportation computing applications, as it offers high performance processing (266MHz) together with very low power consumption (5.4W) and high reliability (no moving parts). A 300MHz version can also be purchased, if minimum order quantities are met.

For rapid, out-of-the box implementation, this rugged x86 embedded processor is also available in a hardware development kit, which comes with the 2320 CPU module, 8MB DiskOnChip memory, POST code card, ROM-DOS operating system, cables and adapters - all pre-installed on a benchtop PC/104 development station (with CD-ROM drive, 1.44MB floppy drive, 2.5" IDE hard drive, 110-220V AC power supply, and PC/104-Plus/PCI/ISA backplane). Users can simply attach a keyboard, mouse, and monitor and they have all of the system resources of a typical desktop PC. ROM-DOS will even boot automatically from Flash or users can install their own operating system.

While supplies last, a limited quantity of the SpacePC 2320 CPU is also available for free evaluation. Visit http://www.SpacePC.com for more information about the whole line of SpacePC PC/104 and PC/104-Plus CPU modules or call 800-483-3152 to place an order. The SpacePC CPU family includes six x86 (Intel) compatible processor cards in 386, 486, 586, and Pentium class models.
