Pat received the award for her outstanding contributions to the development of Revision E of J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
STI recently was awarded a contract with IPC to update the existing IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 training and certification programs from the D to the recently released E revision of the standards. STI has extensive experience in curriculum development and has worked with IPC numerous times in previous years to develop and/or update curriculum for IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-A-620 and IPC-7711/7721. The two program updates are being developed concurrently with betas to be conducted from April-June 2010.
Pat is the Director of Training Services for STI Electronics, Inc. She joined STI’s training team in January 2001, coming from Electronics Training Advantage (ETA) as Director of Training. Pat has 20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, technical instruction and instructional systems development.
Pat gained her experience at Hughes Aircraft Co., Soldering Technology Training Facility (China Lake), and the Electronics Manufacturing Productivity Facility (EMPF). Pat is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor for IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC 7711/21.
