MINNEAPOLIS - CyberOptics Corporation (Nasdaq: CYBE) today announced the promotion of Tim Skunes to Vice President of Technology and Business Development.

Skunes previously held the title of Director of Product Development at CyberOptics, and has more than 20 years of experience with the company. In his new role, he is responsible for the continuous advancement of CyberOptics’ innovative inspection and alignment sensor product families, supporting the needs of existing OEM customers, and identifying new OEM sensing opportunities.

Skunes has a MEE degree in Optics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and has 22 U.S. patents for optical measurement systems, optical manufacturing, and fiber optics devices.
