Miniaturization and lead-free drive increased manufacturing complexities. Reliability and performance on demand are critical medical device standards. Low clearance component gaps combined with more demanding to clean lead-free soils increase the cleaning challenge. The problem is that cleaning is no longer a function of the cleaning agent and/ or the cleaning equipment.
System integration of materials, methods, manpower, machinery and environment are the enablers needed for cleaning today’s medical electronics. The purpose of this research is to define the four M’s and E for cleaning medical electronics. The audience will learn methodologies used for successfully integrating a total process solution for cleaning medical electronics.
