Brazilian Institute places its order for equipment in excess of 1 Million Euro with ERSA
Wertheim, Germany - A recently placed purchase order by the renowned Brazilian CERTI-Institute brought smiles on the faces of management and employees of ERSA. After successfully concluding the negotiations with the management of CERTI, ERSA was awarded a contract for delivery of production machinery and other equipment for the electronic production, valuing approximately 1, 2 Million €.
At their headquarters, as well as in its subsidiaries in Manaus and Brasilia, CERTI, with about 300 permanent staff and employees, is involved in applied research, it also develops and produces electronic products and it supports and advises other Brazilian corporations, on a partnership basis, during the installation and the optimization of the processes as they are applied in the electronic manufacturing environment. With this latter effort, CERTI makes a very important contribution to the development of the aspiring Brazilian electronic industry. CERTI has extended its range of activity on a supra-regional level, so that Venezuela and Bolivia are also benefiting from CERTI’s extensive knowledge. And not to rest there, there are plans to include the continent of Africa.
CERTI maintains an extensive world-wide network, which is exemplified by their intensive contacts with the Fraunhofer Institute and the Technical University Dresden, with who, amongst other co-operations, a permanent student exchange program is in place.
CERTI had issued individual and world-wide tenders for each piece of equipment. That ERSA has been selected for all the products to be purchased, demonstrates, on the one hand, the excellent competitiveness of all ERSA products, and, on the other hand, it stands for the competence of ERSA as a strong partner, with its broad range of products and the attendant process knowledge, for customers looking for total solutions.
In fact, the "shopping list" covered the complete range of products offered by ERSA: Soon there will be operating at CERTI a VERSAPRINT stencil printer, an ECOSELECT selective soldering system, one each HOTFLOW reflow unit and a POWERFLOW full-tunnel N2 wave soldering system, an IR 650 rework unit, an ERSASCOPE 2 Inspection system, a sizeable number of soldering and de-soldering stations, IR heater plates, numerous soldering tips as well as other accessories and supplies for professional soldering work places.
Aside from being gratified over the nice boost in turnover, this project is also of great strategical importance to ERSA. During the recent visit of the managing director of ERSA, Dipl. Ing. Rainer Kurtz, in Florianopolis, the head quarter of CERTI, it was agreed by both parties to extensively cooperate in the areas of technology and know-how transfer. This project is therefore highly suitable to serve as a reference in ERSA’s push to further penetrate the rapidly growing Brazilian market.
CERTI certainly is on the advance! And that not only, because in a very short time they will move to their new innovation park, covering an area of 4,5 Million m2, which is presently being completed on an island just off the coast of Florianopolis.
