Shane,
Not to take any business away from those that make those type of baskets, but I have a much cheaper solution. They'll make you a big, beefy stainless steel one, that's welded and whatnot, that'll cost you anywhere from $150-250. I mean with all that stainless steel and welding, it probably does cost close to that when you figure the time and materials that they need to put into making it. But I think that's overkill...
I have a Trek Triton aqueous cleaner, with 15-hp pumps and 15-hp blowers and no top belt. I'm at a contract assembly and build boards as small as an inch square (a little dongle assembly, or software protect key). You know if I was to put that into the washer it would be like a ping-pong ball ricocheting around inside that beast!
What I've done is gone down to Orchard Supply and bought me some wire fencing material that has a mesh of about a quarter inch square, picked up a pair of tin snips, and cut me out a pattern that will make me a rectangular box of whatever size I want with the top off, about one and a half inches in height.
Then use zip ties to secure the corner seams. I make two off these, and then use 3 or 4 zip ties loosely pulled (not all the way tight) to make a sort of hinge for both boxes...and viola! You have a wash basket! All for the huge sum of about $2.00! (and 15 minutes of your time) They work great! Have lasted me for the year that we've been open, and still look like they have another year (at least) of life left in em'...and I always have the same number of boards come out of the washer that I put in...(GRIN)
The big beefy stainless ones are fine, and they're prettier than mine. Buy em' if you got money to throw away...but like I said, I think they're overkill.
