Yes, traditionally feeders are using two pulling mechanisms; one for the base tape and one for the cover tape. Agilis only need one. Therefore there is no precision conflict regarding possible play between the sprocket and the tape. Johan Bergstrom

what we do is cut the excess overlay tape off. With agilis you do not need a "leader". Can't help you on the 10 parts that you are losing.
