Hi All, On occasion we see components that have gone through pick and place and are slightly misaligned. Currently, operators manually adjust these misaligned components to prevent reflow failures. However, I am wondering if this readjustment may be

The component should float into place provided you have the correct amount of solder paste. Perform a solderability test on the pads. We have come across new components with oxidation that prevents wetting. This will cause components to not self ali

I don't think hole alignment (registration to the copper layer) would be good enough for QFN and uBGA packages.

We are working to upgrade our BGA Rework Systems to place BGA's up to 150mm in size. We are encountering an issue that I wanted to pose to this group. When we get above 50mm in chip size, which is the field of view for the vision systems Prism, the

They may be misaligned so much so that self centering would not occur. How are you placing the micro BGA's? Depending on how the boards are transported onto the oven's conveyer, by the time they start to go through the oven, there could be additio

I'm thinking of rework, not production. In order to rework the part you have to have an expensive split vision alignment system. A simple standard change would eliminate the need for an expensive system.

I am beginer in BGA assembly and am confused in selection of pick and place option. As per book on 'implementation of BGA Technology-by 1995 aeic inc. states that BGAs reflow is quite forgiving and you need only Mechanical centering of PBGAs. The IPC

Hello, I bought used QUAD IVc MKII with transport in "as-is" condition, powered it up (without air and PCB on machine) and all axes (X, Y, Z AND T(heta)shows signs of life. Machine is performing HOME positioning self test. I am not familiar with QUA
