SMTA International Conference Program Finalized and Registration Now Open

Minneapolis, MN - The SMTA is pleased to announce that the program for SMTA International is finalized and available on-line at www.smta.org/smtai and registration is open. The conference will be held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida on October 24-28, 2010. This year's program allows the attendee to choose from 20 courses, 130 technical papers, 4 focused symposia, and numerous free offerings throughout the conference.

IPC WORLD PCB PRODUCTION REPORT SHOWS 19 PERCENT GROWTH IN 2010

Worldwide production of printed circuit boards (PCBs) grew by 19 percent over 2009 to nearly $55 billion, according to the World PCB Production Report for the Year 2010, recently released by IPC. Published annually, the report offers consensus estimates of PCB production value by country and by product category, and analysis on global and regional PCB industry trends. This year’s report includes special sections on trends in the HDI/microvia and metal-core PCB markets.

Nordson ASYMTEK announces that it has acquired the rights and assets to progressive cavity pump (PCP) product lines from Infiniti Dosing o.m.s, based in Polling, Germany. The transaction, which closed on January 5, 2018, provides Nordson ASYMTEK with dispensing and dosing products marketed by Infiniti under the Dot Streamer (DS) and Accura brands. Infiniti's owner and founder, Mr. Jean-Claude Tytgat, will join Nordson ASYMTEK and continue to work on technology developments.

Medical Electronics Symposium Call for Abstracts

The 2016 Medical Electronics Symposium will be held at Marylhurst University near Portland, Oregon, on September 14-15, 2016. SMTA, iNEMI, and MEPTEC have again joined forces to host the International Symposium, which will focus on innovation in electronic technologies and advanced manufacturing specifically targeting medical and bioscience applications. The Symposium will be chaired by Chuck Richardson of the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI).

One specific solution uses Nordson ASYMTEK's Select Coat® Conformal Coating System with a DispenseJet® applicator to apply thin coatings of Parker Chomerics' new CHO-SHIELD-604 conductive coating to achieve a target thickness of 25 µm.
