Do you allow your manufacturer to do some changes to your PCB design? If yes, do you think that the manufacture can make your design better?

personally, I do allow. usually, they will do some design for manufacturability change. this cannot be avoided. I have read an interesting article talking about this question, maybe you can check: http://www.starivergroup.com/News/info.aspx?itemid=10

Wolfgang: Sure, stacking chip components is common practice in prototyping, as you say, but it's not good practice for production work. Documentation: * ANSI-IPC-275 does not allow stacking * MIL-STD-2000A does not allow stacking * J-STD-001B is u

At my last company, we installed in-line testers. They worked very well, but there were some issues to be addressed; 1 - Boards had to be cool enough to go through ICT or we had false failures. 2 - We used no-clean flux...enough said about that. 3

Hi All, I have this problem sorting out the percentage of allowance that we need (per component) for our SMT machine attrition rate. When you say 1%. Say I have a PCB with 3 types of SMD components, type X is using 30 components, type Y is using 5
